The Town Mayor of Banbury, Councillor John Brooks, thanks all the thousands of people from near and far for supporting this year’s Banbury Canal Day. The sun shone brightly, literally thousands of people packed around the quayside to sample Italian food and drink, patronise craft and trade stalls, watch entertainers amuse the crowds, participate in boat trips, take part in workshops, listen to fantastic live folk bands, ride on the funfair and generally have a wonderful time.

Next year’s Banbury Canal Day will be held on Sunday 1st October and booking opens for boats and stalls in April 2006.
